What a match - Ireland Womens team played France in Pairc UiChaoimh last tuesday evening in front of a massive attendance. The French came to Cork ranked as No 2 team in the World in the FIFA rankings but left defeated with local girl Denise O'Sullivan scoring the opening goal in a 3-1 victory against their illustrious opponents.

Carrigtwohill United were well represented as nearly 200 players and parents cheered on the Ireland team and really enjoyed what was a superbly exciting match

A lot of the girls travelled up in the train and had a stop at the Marina Market for some healthy refreshments before arriving at the stadium and bounced their way back to the train afterwards while singing and chanting following the win.
