The team came out of the gate with a fighting spirit.  
There was pressure on the home team from the first minutes of the game. 
A mistake by Bandons defender saw Tom Aherne take advantage and slot our first goal in after 3 mins. 

Carrigtwohill losing possession prompted a run by Bandon down through centre midfield but a heavy pass allowed Eoin Rooney the space to clear the ball back up the pitch. A great through ball by Dylan Hornibrook to Tom Aherne set up a well timed pass into Rayane Bouhdoud who slotted away our 2nd goal. 

The relentless attitude of the team paid off with a wide cross from Dylan Hornibrook to the left wing perfectly playing in Mikolaj Glabisz who took his time and shot an unbelievable strike into the top right corner. 

Tip off was shut down in midfield with a tackle from Jayden Halpin who played in Rayane Bouhdoud. Another pass out to the wing saw our next attack. An on point cross from Mikolaj Glabisz provided an amazing volley by Tom Aherne who found the back of the net. Unfortunately, the whistle sounded for offside. 

Bandon didn't drop their heads. They powered through and produced a lovely through ball that made it passed our midfield. Great thinking by left back Ronan Maher saw a powerful pass directly up the left wing to Mikolaj which saw our 4th goal nicely tucked away and the end of the first half. 

Bandon made some changes which sat them very defensive in the pitch. 
They shut down our space on left wing and we had to switch up our tactics. 

6 mins into the second half a mis-kick by the Bandon goalie saw Tom Aherne slot in a bottom corner goal. 
Maurice O Connor spotted space on the right and made a long pass to Sam Crowley. Sam playing it in on his left spotted Rayane in a perfect position. A great set up allowed Rayane another chance to find the back of the net. 
A wide kick out by goalie David Gilley found Sam Crowley in space yet again. A tough battle with a Bandon defender sent the ball out the sideline. 
A throw in from Sam found Tom's feet who tapped a cheeky goal into the bottom corner to round out his day. 

The battle continued in midfield when the ref blew for a late tackle on Sam. A free kick taken just inside the half placed a ball in the box by Eoin Rooney. A clearance by Bandon only got as far a Sean Chigumira who passed a lovely ball wide to Sam Crowley. Another chance on a cross that was touched down off Dylan Hornibrook's chest onto his right boot and he sent the ball into the back of the net. Unfortunately the ref blew for a hand ball and it was a free out to Bandon. 

Bandon made some great breaks in the next few minutes but were shut down by the strong back line of Rian Connolly, Eoin Rooney, Eoin Ryan, Ronan Maher and defensive midfielder Maurice O Connor who made multiple clearances on the day. 
One last run up the left found a through ball from Tom land directly at Dylan's feet which he buried in the bottom right corner finishing a confidence boosting game 8-0. 

Thanks to our hosts Bandon Fc for being so welcoming and continuing to fight until the end. A great team win with every player leaving their heart on that pitch.
