Inishvilla - 0
A solid & motivated team performance by all 15 players secured Carrigtwohill’s first league win of the season over Innishvilla !
Carrigtwohill started well with Liam Prendergast, Alan O Brien and Tunde Kareem and Ben Kelly immediately causing problems down the wing and upfront for the Innishvilla defence. The first goal arrived in approx 20 mins with a nice run down the right wing by Liam Prendergast, he passed to Alan O Brien who strongly held off his marker and with a fine strike buried the ball to the back of the Innishviila net ! 1-0 !
Innishvilla had few chances in the first half but were repelled by a very robust and warrior like Carrigtwohill defence. In particular Zach Green who was immense all day and had his opponent well under his control. Carrigtwohill had a number of other chances and possibly could have gone in at a half time with a few more goals in the bag !
Carrigtwohill started the second half as they finished the first eager to score their next goal . Carrigtwohill midfield were dominating possession, passing well and made some quality passes and through balls to their forwards.
The second goal arrived 5 mins into the first half with a nice display of passing from Robert Cotter to Evan Foley to set Tunde Kareem up with a through ball where he obliged with a fine shot beyond the Innishvilla goal keeper ! 2-0!
The Carrigtwohill defence remained strong with Jack Gilley making fine saves when called on, Callum Foley , Darragh O Halloran, Zach Green , Kyle O Donovan and Patrick Vasseur all battling hard to ensure Carrigtwohill kept a clean sheet today !
Third goal came from a nice Robert Cotter shot that was split by the keeper into the path of Tunde Kareem who accurately slotted it to the back of the Innishvilla net ! 3-0 !
Substitutes Darragh Culley, Kaya Guler and Jake O Sullivan came on today in the second half and contributed well to round off
