Stalemate in Fermoy. 

We travelled to Fermoy on Sunday morning and were prepared for a tough assignment and that exactly how it unfolded. 
They started the game well and had a few chances early on but our defence held strong. 
Pòl was causing them problems on left and on 23mis produced a beautiful cross into to box but we were disappointed no Carrig player was in there to finish. 

On 26 mins good work by Sean Barry who won a corner, he took it himself and found Dan Guiney head who just nodded it over. 
All game they were trying to release the striker from the midfield but Konrad In goals was alert at all times coming well off his line to clear. 

2nd half we started to play better football and pass the ball well but struggled to create a clearcut chance, a few long range efforts from Matti and Sean G again found the keepers gloves..12 mins to go and they had a strike that look descent for the top corner but Konrad pull off a save Packie Bonner would have been proud of, tipping it just over. 10 mins left and it was anyone’s game, both sets of coaches were looking for the final whistle and when it arrived it was a relief and we will take the draw. A fair result and that was acknowledged by both benches and even the ref.  Big shouts today for Cillian who delt with the long ball brilliantly, Pól who was involved in everything we did good but our MOTM goes to Konrad In goals, his sweeper/keeper attributes and wonderful saves properly won us a point on Sunday. 

We now sit 2nd in the table and in a tough division and we couldn't be prouder of the lads after promotion last year. 
Next up is a cup came v Youghal on Sunday morning.
