A very tough battle in Ballinhassig today and the boys stood up and showed character to come away with another win. 

Effort, creativity and teamwork is asked of the lads weekly and they continue to show what is asked of them. We were 1 nil down early after Charlie made a great save which was followed up to put Ballinhassig 1 up. It was still early on and after great battling from Zayd, he won himself a penalty. He slotted the ball away to draw level but we were 2-1 down not long after. Again, we kept working hard and were level with a great team goal which Zayd put away. 

We came in 2-2 at half time but the team knew we could lift it again. Early into the second half, Sam got a free kick far out and had the confidence to put his foot through the ball and drove us into the lead with a great strike over the keeper. We were 4-2 up after great work from Luke in the middle and Fionn to win us a corner. The ball came out to Sam and he used the outside of the boot to scoop it over the keeper. We were asked to show character again when it went to 4-3 but James O Brien helped to regain the 2 goal lead as he drove forward out of defence and Zayd finished it off to secure his hat trick and another win for the lads. 

The 14 boys continue to show hard work and determination in every game and we move onto our next game.
