Carrigtwohill United - 2
Pearse Celtic - 4

Report:
An early start in Coffey field with a heavy pitch. Extra energy needed to move the match ball.

Carrigtwohill starting strong, playing out from the back taking Pearse Celtic by surprise with a ball over the top from Tom Ahern who played Rayane Bouhdoud in.
Accepting the ball from just inside the half and pushing through to be one on one with the goalie slotting in a beautiful goal in the 3rd minute of the game.
Pearse Celtic upped the pressure and played long balls in but our defence line held strong.

A loose ball in the box fell to the feet of an unmarked Pearse Celtic player who struck a powerful shot into the goal at the 11th minute and again at the 14th minute
The first half ended 2-1 to the home team.

Second half was much the same. A free kick outside the box handed Pearse Celtic another goal which they followed with a fourth shortly after.
Nearing the end and knowing the stakes, a wonderful pass wide by Rory o Connor allowed Mikolaj Glabisz a straight run up the wing. A perfectly timed pass played in Rayane who fought against the Pearse Celtic defence to yet again take on the goalie and place the ball confidently in the back of the net.

Although it wasn't our day, our lads fought with everything they had and had opportunities that shows potential for the return fixture.

Team on the day:
