From the first whistle every Carrig player from 1 to 11 played at the top of their game. With fast passing, strong challenges and great man marking it barely afforded Douglas Hall any time on the ball or goal chances.
Dominating possession and unlucky not to have taken some goal chances it took until the 33rd minute for Carrig to be rewarded for their efforts. A well-timed pass from Liam Prendergast to Tundae Kareem who shot past the Douglas Hall keeper 0-1! 
Just 2 minutes later from the restart Tundae Kareem who was immense upfront for Carrig today scored his 2nd goal with a top class assist by Ben Kelly. 0-2! 

Second half -
Carrig started slowly in the 2nd half . 5 minutes in, against the run of play, a Douglas Hall player took aim from outside the box and with a high powerful shot put it beyond the reach of Jack Gilley who made every effort to save but had no chance! 1-2!
3 minutes later Douglas Hall again caught Carrig cold with another goal. 2-2! 

Moments later Jack Gilley made an exceptional diving save to stop Douglas Hall scoring another rapid goal! 
12 mins into the second half Douglas Hall who had belief again struck there 3rd goal. 3-2 Douglas Hall !!

A now under pressure (and woken up) Carrig began their fight back. Callum Foley (Capt), Kyle O Donovan, Darragh Culley showed their usual warrior mentality to keep Douglas Hall at bay and fought to get the ball to their forwards. Liam Prendergast in midfield doing the same. Carrig had to wait for the 38 min of the second half for Tundae Kareem who worked hard to win the incoming ball, held off his marker and played it to Jake O Sullivan who was perfectly placed to save Carrigs bacon today and slot the ball home. 3-3. 

A brilliant first half performance but a laboured start to the second half cost Carrig a win today.
