Carrigtwohill United - 4
Midleton - 1
Midleton - 1
Report:
Incredibly hard conditions on a very soft pitch. The team was hyped up for a battle today. The team have been working very hard in training and especially on link up play and today was a display of that.
Winning the ball in defence, Ronan Maher making a vital pass up the wing to Mikolaj Glabisz playing the ball into Rayane Bouhdoud in the 12th minute of the game. In usual fashion, Rayane buried the ball in the back of the net.
Confidence was key. After a confident save by Rory O Connor, he released the ball over the top finding Rayane again in the 14th minute who sprinted from his own half to go one on one with the keeper.
There was no doubt about the finish.

Second half started strong. A lot of back and forth between the teams without any major runs. Some great link up play from Rian Connolly and Sam Crowley on the right and Ronan Maher and Mikolaj on the left.
Dylan Hornibrook taking control of the centre mid position with great feeding out the wings for important breaks.
A ball on the right from Sam Crowley who battled up the wing, playing in Rayane who crossed a ball back post and found Tom Ahern who made it 3 -0.
The boys were working super hard and with a heavy pitch we're starting to feel the effects. A lapse in judgement awarded Midleton a penalty. Rory stood very strong in the goal awaiting a strike. Although he got fingertips to it, it found the back of the net.

The final goal came from a run by Jayden Halpin who played a final ball in to Rayane to finish the game 4-1.
Strength as always from our centre back Eoin Rooney. Great defensive work from Leo Cashman and vital clearances from Maurice o Connor.
A very special mention to our left back Rory O Connor who took on the very tough job of goalie today. He took one for the team and we were very lucky that he stepped up.
