Report:
Last weekend saw us return to National Cup action following our narrow defeat to Springfield in the league.
We came out of the blocks quickly and took the lead after 5 minutes from a superb pass from Aaron on the left, clipping a ball on to Owen taking it in his stride and slotting it in the corner. More was to follow shortly from Josh on the right clipping another great pass for Owen again (first touch unbelievable) and again in to the corner.
Aaron went off with an injury and it was Nathan’s turn to make his mark travelling the length of the pitch with the ball before being taken down for a penalty (he should have had another one soon after). Josh converted from the spot to make it 3.
A fourth came from a corner that caused panic in their defence which was deflected in for an OG.
The centre field of Odhran, Jack Lombard and Dylan dominated the game for 70 minutes with great passing, covering and playing at a high tempo.

Jamie did us a huge favour going on goal and was excellent all morning.
The back four of Oisin, Fionn, Karol and Jack Beechinor played so well and commanded their area that no chance was coughed up.
Second half we controlled the game playing in second gear. Ryan Moore came off the bench to make his debut for us and he certainly made his mark heading a goal from a great corner by Jack B. The header was top quality.
Micky came on with 20 to go to keep us ticking over in the middle.

Great performance after last week but we play them again this week in the league and we know that it will be a totally different challenge!!
