Report:
We travelled to Springfield for our 6th league match of the season following an impressive away win against Fermoy. 
We started brightly holding possession with Springfield sitting very deep. The half saw little in terms of chances but for a few long-range efforts from our lads. Springfield had two counter attacks which were handled comfortably by our defence. Nil all at half time. 

The second half was more of the same. Again, our lads had most of the possession and did work one decent opportunity which we didn’t convert. As can happen in football we were hit with a sucker punch with a 25-yard free kick of high quality. The ball struck the crossbar and went in over the line. Nothing our keeper could do. The lads kept going to the very end but couldn’t create that chance needed. 

Everyone was disappointed and we knew ourselves we were all a little flat for some reason- coaches included. Still though a decent start to our league campaign and we go again!
