Carrigtwohill opened their local cup campaign with a comprehensive victory against lower league opposition.

Carrigtwohill were 1 up after 5 minutes with a lovely finish from Malachy Kelleher after a through ball from Sam Collins split the defence. It was 2, 30 seconds later as a ball over the top from Sam to the on rushing Darragh Leahy who finished into the bottom corner, lovely finish. On a wonderful surface it was soon 3 when Ryan Moore gave a ball to Mal who nutmugged the keeper, sublime.  Carrigtwohill added another 2 before half time with a neat finish from Darragh and a lovely chip from Sam.

Second half started in similar fashion, a lovely ball from Jack Ó Keeffe released Ryan Collins down the right who's deft chip from outside the right hand side of the box found the far corner, unbelievable finish. The opposition scored a few moments later with a great strike which caught the defence off guard. Practically from the kick off Carrigtwohill scored again when Fionn Barry played a beautiful one-two on the right side of the pitch with Alex Motriuk who's finish was top drawer.

Alex Kadula in his first game since May after injury played a beautiful pass splitting the opposition defence into Jack who fouled in the box and was awarded a penalty, which was saved with catlike reflexes from the keeper.

Special mention to the 6 lads who had East Cork gaelic football trials tis morning in Páirc UÍ CHAOIMH until 12 and raced to Carrigaline to be there for 1230. 
Bigger tests lay ahead for the lads but great team performance and a special mention Tristan Ó Donovan who was immense throughout in midfield.
