Report:

Carrigtwohill players came out in battle mode today ready to take on 4th division team Kilworth in what was an action packed & exciting cup game from the first to last kick of the ball! 

Carrig were fast off the mark & within 3 mins scored their first goal. The Kilworth goalkeeper was attempting to clear but showed too much of it to a goal hungry Tundae Kareem who snatched the ball from the keeper and sent it to back of the net. 1-0 !

It took just 2 mins later for Kilworth to score from scrappy play. 1-1!

The game was back and forth with both Carrig and Kilworth creating chances. All Carrig players showed an immense work rate today, working their socks off to win the ball back and keep pressure on Kilworth all over the pitch!

14 mins in a Kilworth player volleyed the ball that broke from a Jack Gilley save to the back of the Carrig net. 1-2 Kilworth!

16 mins in Carrig with a nice build up and fast passing between players left Liam Prendergast to set up a perfect pass for Tundae Kareem who slotted the ball home. 2-2!

Second half started with both teams having chances and looked to be evenly matched. 

72 mins Kilworth goal. 3-2!

It took until the 80th min of the first half for an on fire Tundae Kareem to pressure the Kilworth goal keeper who fumbled & Tundae shot home his 3rd ! 3-3 !

Extra Time- 8 mins in Kilworth score. 3-4 ! 

As always Carrig showed their character & never give up attitude and kept on fighting, the seconds of the game and again Tundae shot past the goal keeper but hit the goal post and wide. 

Unlucky to lose today but overall a fantastic Carrigtwohill "team" performance !
