Report:
We welcomed Riverstown last Saturday for the second time in a week for our home league fixture. 

Both teams tried to get a grip on a heavy pitch and it was the visitors that started better with Bart being called in to action to make two world class saves for certain goals. They also hit the crossbar in the early exchanges, so we were riding our luck. The lads finally settled down and broke the deadlock with a great finish from Owen who bravely ran on to a through ball and finished ahead of their keeper. One nil at half time. 

The second half we started where we left off and got our second with another great run from Owen who rounded the keeper and slotted home. Ball supplied by Aaron. Conditions deteriorated rapidly and in fairness to Riverstown they kept fighting and in a devastating 20-minute period managed to score three goals to turn the tie in their favour. The lads as usual never gave up and responded again with a great shot from Fionn outside the box that rattled the crossbar. 

In the end a tough result to take but we hold our heads up and go again this week.
