Today brought the curtain down on a fantastic 2024 for our U13 boys team. They are a brilliant group who are a joy to watch and coach.
It was another tough challenge from Watergrasshill but Carrig came out on top with a 1-0 win.

Playing against a strong wind in the first half, Carrig kept possession confidently, led by Charlie in goal and used the pace of Fionn and Zayd to continuously create goalscoring opportunities.

Midway through the half, Fionn capitalised on a wonderful passage of play where the lads played out from the back to Finn on the right who played a perfect through ball for Fionn to run onto and drive towards goal before coolly slotting it past the impressive Watergrasshill keeper.

The Carrig defence of Kai, Eoin, James and Luke were excellent throughout, starting attacks and smothering any counterattacks, deservedly coming away with a clean sheet for their endeavours.

The midfield combination of Aaron, Darragh, Sam, Shawn and Cormac dictated our positive approach by winning their duels and moving the ball quickly.
Cormac was captain today and put in a performance to match 💪⚽
