The Carrigtwohill girls travelled to a foggy Kilworth this morning to take on table toppers Kilworth who have a solid 5 point lead in this highly competitive division.

Both teams served up a highly entertaining a tense 60 minutes of football. The home side came very close a number of times in the first half, but our girls got to grips with the game in the second half and were unlucky not to take all 3 points with some good chances.

Goalkeepers today Lucy and Lili were rock solid, and defenders Kayla, Molly and Rolina were tested throughout. Super work further up the field by Sofia, Allie, Pheobe and Hanna and another strong performance from Lauren who notched up another goal today from the penalty spot.

However it was Kalina operating at right back who was immense today with her clever defending and great distribution setting up many attacks.

Well done to both teams who face each other again on Thursday in the Cup.
