The first 20 mins were scrappy with Carrig having an unusually slow start but possibly down to Innishvillas tight man marking.
On 21 mins Carrig gave away a free kick in a dodgy spot outside the box directly in front of goal. Innishvilla (fortunately) sent the ball just over the Carrig crossbar. The scare seemed to ignite the fire in Carrig who responded instantly. Callum O B, Gary Og, Evan & Tundae turned the pace up a notch and began passing better, Ben & Rob started making more runs and crosses & Carrig had more urgency to score the first goal.
26 mins -Alan stepped up to take a free kick, he struck it well into the box where Evan headed it home. 1-0.
31 mins -against the run of play Innishvilla caught Carrig ball watching for once and scored from messy play. 1-1.
Carrig kept the pressure on & had more goal chances and possession for the remainder of the first half.

Callum Foley (Capt) clearly wasn't settling for a draw and drove his teammates on in the 2nd half with a fantastic performance from one end of the pitch to the other, he was unstoppable today. Kyle, Alan and Darragh were superb and had to be as Innishvilla had some decent forwards who were dangerous if given an opportunity. Jack made some excellent fast kick outs and was a safe pair of hands as usual.
54 mins Alan strikes a near perfect free kick but hits the Innishvilla crossbar where Tundae is waiting for the rebound and headed it to the back of the net. 2-1.
Carrig continued the attack with Luke who came on in the second half making an impact straight away & almost scored after a great run down the wing, cut into the box with a nice shot that was just saved by the keeper.

Zach came on in the 2nd half & done a great job in defence allowing nothing past him while Rian & Jack also added to another strong team performance.
