Report:
Carrigtwohill arrived in Mogeely this evening to take on the league leaders in a battle for the top of the table! To say Carrigtwohill were “up for the match” would be a major understatement, Carrig were in blistering form & worked hard to make sure they went home with the W in what was their best & grittiest performance of the season (so far)  !!

Carrig started fast, 1min into game, a quick corner taken by Tundae to Gary who sent a nice cross to Alan who left fly but sent the ball just wide. 7min in Luke who played his best game this season scorched down the wing into box and sank the ball to the back of the net. 1-0. Classy goal.

Game was back & forth with Mogeely at times applying pressure on our defence but Carrigs man marking, tackling & urgency to get to the ball first was the difference. Gary Og who battled hard for the team all evening was outstanding, not only with his passes but winning the ball back for the team on numerous occasions. 29 mins Gary cut out a beautiful pass to Luke who placed it with precision. 2-0. Tundae had a fine shot saved in the last min of the first half.

2 mins into the second half Mogeely score from a free kick directly in front of the Carrig goal. 2-1. Within 10 mins Mogeely are awarded two more questionable free kicks just outside the Carrig box, hitting the crossbar with 1 & Jack making a great save of the other.

Carrig kept the pressure on. 70 mins Rob who had a brilliant game scored an absolute screamer after a great run down the wing. 3-1. 77 mins Mogeely score a scrappy goal 3-2.

80mins Rob who was on fire deservedly scored his 2nd with a belter of goal. 4-2. 

Every Carrig player gave there all this evening and deserve serious credit for the match they played !!

Unbelievable team performance !! Well done boys !!
