Carrigtwohill United - 4
Corinthians - 6

Report:
An aggressive start by the Carrigtwohill boys, straight out the gates and dominating the first 15mins of the game. A few shots on goal early on.
A ball squared by Rayane in the box fell to Sam Crowley to make sure it was in the back of the net after the 2nd minute.

After a strong start by our boys Corinthians introduced 2 players who changed the game and were streets ahead in skill, development and aggression. A lot of pressure fell on our back line and after an injury we created a pathway for them to score.

After a team talk with the lads at half time they went out to prove a point.
A ball over the top by our captain Leo Cashman fell perfectly to Tom Ahern who rounded 2 defenders to score our 2nd goal. Sam being marked heavily on the wing allowed space to get up the left wing.

A ball by Leo up to Mikolaj fed up to Rayane Bouhdoud.  A perfectly executed curved ball into Tom who made no doubt about it.

Our last goal came from a brilliant bit of team work.  After some great corners taken all evening from Dylan Hornibrook he was determined to pile the pressure on.
A beautiful cross into the box going straight into goal, hit the fingers of the goalie at the last second.

The ball came out as far as Sam Crowley who settled the ball for Dylan to make another cross which rocketed into the top corner. The confidence was high and the team pressed on to gain ground but all too late. The whistle blew.

Today was a learning moment to never give up. To come from 6-1 down back to 6-4 was testimony to the fight of this team.  A display of mental strength and heart.

This carrigtwohill team has had big highs and big lows this season but the fight they show on the pitch when theyre behind on the score board is a great example of the effort they put in at keeping their minds strong and having key moments where they motivate each other to change the game around.

Great work from all the team.
