Pressure from the very first moment creating and taking chances early.
Springfield playing a very high line allowed the team to pass long over the heads of defence to feed in our strikers.
After 2 offside calls we finally got it right. A ball over the top from our left back Ronan Maher saw a perfectly timed run by Rayane Bouhdoud go one on one with the keeper taking the lead.

On the stroke of half time a tackle that took our right back off his feet opened a channel for Springfield to take the lead.
Great team chat with the lads at half time. They knew they had been the stronger team and just needed to finish their chances. All dialled in and ready for the second half.

Carrigtwohill’s tip and the pressure was on from the 1st minute. The lads attacked with intensity.
A breakthrough came from centre mid with a brilliant pass from Dylan Hornibrook to feed in Adam O Sullivan who took his time to ensure his shot counted. Straight in and teams were once again level.

The lads had a few more chances with Rayane hitting a shot inch wide and a ball up by Dyan to Tom Aherne hitting the near post.
Time was running out. Springfield had a lovely chance on goal but a miraculous dive from David Gilley secured the team a well-deserved point.
