As the game got underway it was noticeable that Carrigtwohill were well pumped up for this game and started the game with purpose. Carrigtwohill went on the attack from the first moment and the lads got their reward on the 7th min as a perfectly hit corner from Jake Gleeson into the box and Charlie McCann drilled the ball into the top corner The one touch passing was a pleasure to watch and Mallow couldn't cope. Carrigtwohill were awarded a free kick about 25 yards out, up stepped Charlie McCann who took the free kick with precision and power, it took a slight deflection off the wall and into the bottom corner to increase the score to 2-0 The lads continued to pressure the Mallow team every time they had possession and with ease found ourselves in control of the ball again.
On the 18th min Miloz Giec (man of the match) took possession in his own half and went on a magical solo run beating 4 Mallow players and with complete confidence slotted the ball into the far corner to increase it to 3-0.
The lads continued to play fantastic one touch football throughout the first half with exceptional performances from Simas Valys, Mathew Board Alex Coyne, Jake Glesson and Alex Doyle to keep Mallow to long range efforts to which Jamie Gray (goalkeeper) had no trouble in dealing with.
A lack of concentration let Mallow get close to our goal and they scored a fine goal.
Miloz once again went on a sublime solo run and with some superb close control slotted the ball passed the goalkeeper.
The 2nd half started much the same as the first and again some fantastic one touch passing and the movement off the ball was a treat to watch.
Flynn Connolly, Rian Newman Noah Foley and Adam O Regan were in fantastic form once again.
