A trip to Macroom on Friday evening for the lads this week in what was always going to be tough game. Carrig started brightly passing the ball around and causing the home team to defend well. 

Unfortunately, all the good play was undone by two breakaway goals which left us trailing 2-0 at the break. The boys responded brilliantly in the 2nd half and were relentless in their endeavours on and off the ball but the ball didn't fall for us in around the goals. 

Kai pulled a goal back with 5 mins to go but it wasn't to be for the boys on the night going down 2-1 despite our goalkeeper Eoin was as solid as ever.  Our back 4 of Darragh, Aaron, Luke and Dara started all the good play from the back. Sam Thomas and Cormac were excellent midfield and the front 3 of Zayd, Kai and Fionn worked tirelessly but it just wasn't to be on the night
