We were back on our home patch tonight to welcome Youghal United.
Carrigtwohill played with a maturity beyond their years. In a dominant opening half Carrig ran the opposition ragged.

First opportunity after 5 minutes fell to Zayd as he raced in on goal and with the out of his boot his shot beat the keeper, but it was the wrong side of the post.
On 10 minutes Sam's powerful shot from outside the box was tipped onto the bar and over for a corner by the keeper, from the resulting corner Ryan C headed straight at the keeper.

The opposition were finding it hard to get out of their own half as Carrig pinned them in and missed 2 glorious chances through Ryan M and Jack, ht.
Second half started with a familiar pattern of Carrig dictating the play and winning every 50/50 all over the pitch, in the 45th minute Carrig would go ahead and what a goal it was.

Tristan received the ball in midfield off the defence and turned his marker with ease, he gave the ball to Sam about 30 yards from goal, Sam took on his man and edged towards the box facing another defender, he dropped his shoulder to the left to leave the defender flat footed and shot with his  left across the keeper into the top corner, top drawer.
Moments later it was 2 when Ryan M got on the end of a great ball from Charlie to head past the keeper.

On the 60th minute a fine move on the right involving Fionn, Ryan C released Ryan M just inside the box and Ryan's flick looped the ball up over the keeper’s head for a 3rd goal.

Every player and substitute contributed to what was a fantastic performance on the night.
