In the early kick-off of the U14 Premier Division, Carrigtwohill hosted local rivals Leeside in what proved to be a thrilling contest.

The home side started brightly and dominated the first half. Their attacking intent was rewarded with three well-taken goals. Abbie Rall opened the scoring, followed closely by a goal from Rachael Uyi Irabor.  Just before the break another goal followed by a composed finish from Olivia O’Sullivan to give Carrigtwohill a commanding 3–0 lead at halftime.

Leeside, however, showed great resilience after the restart. Two quick-fire goals brought them right back into the game, setting up a tense and exciting second half. Both teams created chances in a lively end-to-end battle, but Carrigtwohill held firm to secure a 3–2 victory.
Special mention goes to Rachael Uyi Irabor, who produced an outstanding performance with a goal, an assist, and tireless work across the pitch.

Carrigtwohill take the bragging rights from this local derby, but Leeside’s spirited second-half display made sure it was a contest to remember.
