The girls dominated from start to finish in a tough encounter. Their early pressure paid off when Lucy opened the scoring with a composed and clinical finish.

 

Despite being on top for most of the first half, the opposition managed to level the game when a deflected effort left goalkeeper Lili with no chance.

 

The second half followed a similar pattern, with the girls continuing to create chances and control possession. However, against the run of play, Buttevant struck on the break, scoring what proved to be the winning goal.

 

Although the result didn’t go their way, there were plenty of positives to take from a strong performance, especially given how well the team stood up to the challenge. Amelie and Grace were standout performers on the day.
