Yet another superb performance today from the Carrigtwohill girls !

They travelled to Mallow for an early morning KO and through a unfortunate sequences of events, were understrength and facing a Mallow side who took the points on each occasion they met last season
Our girls started strongly and owned the first half as they probed the Mallow defence at every opportunity and had several goal chances. However, they were very unlucky to go behind to the hosts first clear cut chance, as a free kick caused some loose play in the penalty box and was poked home by the attacker.

It was more of the same for the opening period of the second half but the equaliser just would not come and as the half went on the girls tired somewhat and the game was more balanced.
The league table will show a 1-0 victory to the hosts, but this did not tell the story of the day with too many superb performances to mention them all, but Sadie and Maisie in particular today played out of their skins ! Special mention to EmmaQ who stayed to the end despite needing to leave early
