Carrigtwohill United - 3
Douglas Hall - 0

Report:
Thrilling game from start to finish.
Pressure straight out of the gate.
Playing most of the half between our midfielders and strikers. Douglas Hall found it hard to get a break. On a few occasions it crossed the half way line but was quickly cleared away by our defenders Leo Cashman, Eoin Rooney and Rian Connolly.

Fabulous pressure by Maurice O Connor who played more of an attacking role today. Feeding in Tom Aherne on many an occasion.
After a strong start we found it hard to break through the defence of Douglas who constantly had 8 players in the box.
A break came from the left with a cross from Mikolaj Glabisz finding Tom in the box. A short pass fell to Mason Jones who powered through with the back of the net rattling.
The start of the second half saw Douglas come out as the more switched on team. They powered through with a few shots on goal but our keeper held strong. A break came after 10 mins when a ball through the middle found Olivier who played a ball to Tom. No doubt about the finish.

The team found another bit of energy with a break from Jake O Leary on the wing finding Olivier Lignowski in space. Olivier to Tom who flicked it on to Harry Cashman and finalising the scoreline 3 -0.
Fantastic performances from Jayden Halpin on the right wing and Philip Jaise at left back.
A special mention to the captain Ronan Maher who played his first match in centre midfield and made a huge difference on the pitch. Onto the next round.

Carrigtwohill Scorers: Mason Jones, Tom Aherne, Harry Cashman
