Report:
Carrig hosted Fermoy in Ballyadam on Saturday in an exciting game where we were unlucky to go home without the win ! 

Carrig as usual set there stall out early & on 5 mins Callum O B launched a throw into the box where Luke met it & sent it home with a quality & well placed header. 1-0. A minute later Fermoy responded with a shot of their own from inside the box that tested Jack Gilley who made a great save! Carrigs defence had their hands full again today as Fermoy had some decent & pacey forwards lurking, Callum F, Hugh, Kyle and Zach played superb & kept them at bay until the 20 mins when Fermoy scored their first. 1-1. 

Carrigs midfield were brilliant today,  Callum O  B was outstanding, controlling play & winning the ball back, Evan was getting stuck in & passing well, Patrick was playing a fine game making decent passes & tackles! 37mins against the run of play in a counter attack Fermoy score again.  2-1 (player was offside). Both teams had more chances but on 43 mins after sustained Carrig pressure a well positioned Callum O B shot from inside the box to score Carrigs 2nd. 2-2. Gary Og was battling, fighting & running for everyball that came his direction while Rob was brilliant on the wing and made some excellent runs.

Second half just started when Fermoy shot on target again. 3-2. 51 mins Evan linked up with Rob who sent his shot just wide. Carrig kept the pressure on & on 65 mins after a well taken corner kick Hugh connected & sent it home. 3-3. 69mins Alan took aim but sent his shot just wide. 85mins Hugh who played another great stepped & placed his penalty perfectly. 4-3.  87mins Fermoy respond instantly & score. Darragh, Alan and Kai all contributed to a good team performance today.
