Recently on a visit to his homeland, Carrigtwohill United coach Joe was able to make a donation of jerseys and gear to a village team in Mashonaland East province of Zimbabwe.
Headman Tambaoga Tribal chief receiving the gear said "This will go as far as keeping young people engaged and distracted from drug abuse, anxiety and rising suicide rates. Thanks to the whole committee of Carrigtwohill United for this gesture". Headman Tambaoga also happens to be Joe's eldest brother in a family of 6.
At a presentation of a full gear donated to Manyere primary school, a village school in the same area of Mashonaland East province in Sadza district. Standing from right to left. Headmaster, Sports Director lady, Coach and deputy Head master.
" This is our first time ever to get this kind of recognition and help from abroad. This will definitely put this small school on the map and inspire everyone interested in sport. Pass our gratitude to Carrigtwohill United" said Headmaster Chakoma.
