It was a cup match in Ballyadam for the third week in a row and once again Carrigtwohill showed they'd no fear playing division 1 teams, with Millstreet, the visitors, currently lying in second place in division one.  

The first half was even enough throughout with Carrigtwohill defence and central midfield tackling well and together with Lucy in goals got quick ball out the wings and up front as Carrigtwohill showing attacking ambition.  Carrigtwohill were unfortunate to be 1-0 behind at the break through a well struck shot which went in off the post.  

 

The second half Carrigtwohill again pushed forward and the girls showed great determination and effort to get in close and shut down their opponents at source.  Carrigtwohill won numerous corners and were unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions. A fortunate goal meant Millstreet won 2-0.  All the girls can hold their heads high, as the supporters on the sideline all pointed out that there didn't appear to be a two division gap between the teams.
