Douglas Hall – 0
Carrigtwohill United – 2
First Half
Carrigtwohill lined out with Colm Ó Murchú in goal; a defensive unit of Antoni Kadula, Adam Lane, Rian McGovern, and Charley O’Sullivan who worked tirelessly to keep Douglas Hall at bay.
In midfield, Ronan Doyle, Cesc Matarin, and Ajus Lepeska anchored the centre, showing composure, energy, and control. Out wide, John Buckley, Frank Krysiak, Ariel Lembelembe, and Oscar Mazur provided width, pace, and creativity, constantly driving Carrig forward and linking play with the strikers.
Up front, Mati Majchrzak and Chiemekam Emeakaroha pressed the opposition defenders and looked dangerous whenever they got possession, keeping Douglas Hall under constant pressure.
Despite the strong play and balanced contributions across the team, the half ended goalless, with Carrig showing patience, discipline, and determination.
Halftime score: Carrigtwohill 0 – 0 Douglas Hall A
Second Half
Carrigtwohill came out with renewed energy and determination. On 40 minutes, Ajus Lepeska showed great composure when he pulled down a Rian McGovern free kick and slotted home to give Carrig the lead.
Soon after, Chiemekam Emeakaroha broke through one‑on‑one and looked certain to double the advantage, but the Douglas Hall keeper produced a fantastic save to deny him. It would have been Carrig’s second, but the chance kept the game finely balanced.
On 57 minutes, Ajus struck again — latching onto a ball from the left by Oscar Mazur, taking it in behind the defence and showing superb composure to finish clinically for his brace.
Carrig continued to press and defend with heart, ensuring Douglas Hall had no way back into the game. Colm Ó Murchú was solid and composed in goal, providing calm assurance whenever called upon.
A fantastic team performance in U12 Division 2, showing Carrigtwohill’s quality and spirit, with every player contributing to a well‑deserved victory.
