Report:
Sunday morning saw the lads return to competitive action for the first time in five weeks, and they put in a terrific performance considering the lack of match play.
During that break, training attendance and attitude were outstanding, and it was great to see everything we’ve been working on come to fruition on Sunday.

It didn’t take long to open the scoring with a tremendous goal worked brilliantly from the back. Starting with  Oisín playing a good ball into midfield where Mossie, Ryan Barry and Zach kept possession before releasing a lovely through ball to the onrushing Sam Dolan who timed his run to perfection and finished with a delightful chip to put us 1–0 up.
Throughout the first half we played some excellent football, building consistently from the back with Luke, Cian, Callan, Eoghan Rall, Oisín and Roger strong in the tackle, composed on the ball, and providing the platform for most of our attacks. Zach controlled the middle superbly, while Mossie put in a mighty performance alongside. Ryan Matthew and Sam were both excellent throughout. JP, Eoin Lombard, Paulie,Jack and Odhran were a constant threat going forward.

Odhran was particularly unlucky after beating three players, only for a last-ditch clearance off the line to deny what would have been an absolute classic.
Although we remained 1–0 up until the final five minutes, the lads never stopped chasing the second goal, continuing to create chances while staying extremely professional defensively.
Finally, with a few minutes remaining, JP got onto a lovely through ball and calmly slotted home to seal the win.
A fantastic result and great to be back up and running in the league. Hopefully now we can build a bit momentum and put together a strong run of matches and results.
