Under-12 CSL Division 7
14th Feb 2026 at Carrig Park
Fermoy A – 0
Carrigtwohill United A - 0
After 2 months without a league game , Carrigtwohill A travelled to Fermoy to play their 5th league game of the season .
On an extremely cold early morning kick off, it was great to see 14 of the 15 panel turn out , a credit to their continued commitment with such a long layoff time besides friendlies being played.
Playing on a fine astro pitch it was Fermoy who settled quickly, passing, composure on the ball and well organised throughout. Although limited in chances they did find it easier to get through our midfield and defence with the majority of attacks eventually dealt with by Ryan, Tom, Dylan Isaac, Tom P and Krystian and especially Julian who was quickly off his line to deal with through balls .
Carrigtwohill did struggle to get a grip on the game , and surprisingly slow in moving the ball through midfield , limiting wingers and leaving Scott up front with limited ball. Our only real chance of 1st half came from a corner which Krystian glancing a header which struck the post.
The second half started a bit better, some great runs by Josh and Alonzo on left and Ciarán and Liam on right , but the final ball just eluding us to create any clear chances for Dylan and Scott..
Fermoy had a few chances and on another day may have scored but Julian was solid in his handling and his distribution , pulling off some excellent saves .
The last quarter , Carrigtwohill started to play a lot better, Ryan, tom o , Isaac , Rian and Dylan more solid in defence , and the central midfielders of Liam, Tom p, Krystian, and Oliver getting more involved.
With literally the last play of the game , it was Fermoy who broke through for a one on one , but it was Julian who was patient and pulled off a world class save to deny Fermoy the win .
Overall on a day we did not play our best , we came away with a point, and knowing we need to continue to work hard and continue to push up that table .
MOTM: Julian Klier - Outstanding all day , and pulled off 2 world class saves
