Report:
Carrigtwohill progress to the last 16 of the local cup after a good win away to Macroom.
On a fabulous astro Carrigtwohill dominated the opening exchanges and went close to scoring on 3 minutes when a delightful cross by Charlie Cronin was just headed past the post by Ryan Moore.
On 10 minutes Carrig did open the scoring when a defence splitting pass from Sam Collins put Jack ó Keeffe 1 on 1 with the keeper, Jack made no mistake and slotted into the bottom corner 0-1.
Carrigtwohill went close to doubling their lead on numerous occasions through Aaron Sheehan, Sam and Jack but the opposition goalkeeper was in fine form, ht.
Second half continued in the same pattern as the first with Carrig dominant all over the pitch.
Charlie was terrorising the full back time after time and played a fabulous ball on 55 mins to Ryan Collins who squared it to Jack who made no mistake 0-2.
It was almost 3 moments later when a 30 yard bullet from Mal Kelleher rattled the crossbar, the ball came back to the edge of the box and Sams shot was tipped onto the post by the goalkeeper.
It was 3 on 65 minutes when a lovely pass from Pranav Shatiskuma found Ryan M free in the box and Ryan smashed it into the net.
Good performance overall with the defence of Alex K, Fionn and Evan rock solid throughout.
Best for Carrig were Aaron Sheehan, Charlie Cronin, Alex Kadula and Ryan Moore
