Ballinhassig A - 0
Carrigtwohill A - 1

Carrigtwohill travelled to Ballinhassig to play their 6th league fixture of the season .
Playing on a fantastic new astro pitch on a beautiful sunny morning,  Carrigtwohill knew a win would push them up the table with plenty of games in hand.

With Julian in goals , a steady back line of Ryan, Dylan, Tom P, Kuba and Tom O held strong from the beginning, limiting Ballinhassig to half chances .
The midfield of Krystian,  Rian (TomO and TomP on rotation ) were working hard with the pacy and hard working Liam , Ciarán, Josh and Alonzo working hard as usual to supply Scott up front.

A massive addition was the decision to let Ryan and TomO take the kick outs which worked brilliantly,  bypassing midfield and putting us on the front foot straight away.
In all fairness to Ballinhassig,  they limited Carrigtwohill to a few half chances , with Scott, Liam and Alonzo having half chances.

Carrigtwohill eventually found there passing boots and a lovely passage of play between TomO to Scott who put through Josh with a one on one chance but just pulled his shot wide .
Again,  not playing our best on the day  there was great work rate and determination, with great runs out of defence by Ryan,  Ciarán solid with tracking back and clearing a lot of ball and Krystian with some impressive interceptions .
Half time
Ballinhassig 0
Carrigtwohill 0

Again it was Carrigtwohill who started the better, but as the minutes were passing it looked as if we would never score
Chances again fell to Scott from outside the box ,another great chance from Josh flashed wide, a cross from Ciaran found Liam,  who controlled at front post and shot across the goalmouth.
Rian  Krystian,  TomP were getting the ball moving faster and TomO was excellent flanking Liam who was excellent on the wing .
Normally a team is lucky to persuade a player to be a keeper, Carrigtwohill 12A are very lucky to find 2 excellent keepers in Julian and his 2nd half replacement Oliver.
With time running out  Kuba found Alonzo on the right , who held up the ball until he could lay off to Kuba again who put in a beautiful cross which found TomO who shot and looped over the keeper for a deserved lead .
Ballinhassig pressed hard in last 5 mins, Dylan, Ryan Kuba clearing their lines, backed up by hard working midfield.
With rotation again, and  to waste a bit of time,   there was some excellent clearances  and  interceptions , with Ciarán coming out with 2 or 3 vital runs
With massive relief the whistle went and a deserved 1-0 victory
Final score :
Ballinhassig A : 0
Carrigtwohill A : 1

MOTM:
In a game where all 14 did their job very well and worked  hard , it came down to simply to doing right thing at right times , working hard,  tracking back, all 14 could would be worthy of this  but MOTM  : Ciarán O Connell
