Report:
Sunday morning saw us travel to Tramore Park for a top-of-the-table clash against Tramore Athletic , who came into the game unbeaten this season.
In a tough battle, and missing a few key players, we found ourselves two goals down and a little unlucky after playing the better football to be in that position at halftime. One came from a corner kick and the other from a superb strike from 30 yards out. Despite the scoreline, we felt we had played very well and knew there was something in the game if the lads kept believing.

At half-time and a quick change of shape we asked everyone to show a bit of leadership,  belief and we’ll work our way back into it.
Playing fantastic football but also showing huge heart and passion, we battled our way back to 2–2. The first goal came from great work by Jack Conneely  who dug out a great cross after beating his man on the left wing , Paulie Kelliher finishing superbly with a first time finish into the bottom corner.
Not long after, JP worked tirelessly to keep the ball in play, beating two or three players before being dragged down for a penalty. Oisín, who was outstanding throughout the game, stepped up and calmly slotted it home. Unfortunately the whistle wasn’t blown so a retake followed which is never easy but again Oisin showed great composure and slotted it away.

Towards the end we were very unlucky not to take all three points  with plenty of chances not least when Jack struck the inside of the post from a tight angle and the ball rolled across the face of goal.
To come back from two goals down shows exactly what this team is made of — great teamwork, passion and quality. It sets us up nicely for the rest of the season and we’re incredibly proud of every one of the lads.

Carrigtwohill Scorers: Paul Kelliher, Oisin McCarthy
