Carrigtwohill United – 3
Mayfield United – 0
First Half
Carrigtwohill had a full squad of 16 players available for the home fixture in Ballyadam. Colm Ó Murchú started in goal, backed by a strong defensive group of Antoni Kadula, Adam Lane, Oscar Connolly, Lorcan Thornhill, Rian McGovern, and Charley O’Sullivan, who were disciplined, organised, and composed throughout the opening half.
In midfield, Ronan Doyle, Cesc Matarin, and Ajus Lepeska controlled the centre with energy, smart passing, and excellent positioning. Out wide, Frank Krysiak and Ariel Lembelembe worked one flank, while John Buckley and Mati Majchrzak operated on the opposite side, giving Carrig width, pace, and creativity. Up front, Chiemekam Emeakaroha and Oscar Mazur provided direct running and constant threat in behind.
Carrig thought they had taken the lead when Ariel finished well, but the flag went up for a tight offside, denying him the opener.
Just before the break, Mayfield created their best chance of the half, but Colm Ó Murchú produced an outstanding save, diving sharply to keep the game scoreless and send Carrig into halftime level.
