Carrigtwohill United - 5
Kinsale - 2

Report:
Carrigtwohill got back to winning ways on a sunny but very windy morning in Ballyadam.
With a depleted squad due to illness and injury Carrigtwohill could only field 11 players, but those 11 put their bodies on the line from the 1st whistle.

Carrig put the ball on the floor and the opposition couldn't live with the movement on and off the ball from the lads.
The deadlock was broken on 10 minutes when Ryan Moore floated a lovely ball towards the back post where Tristan Ó Donovan rose high above the defender and headed into the back of the net 1-0.

Carrig went close again when Jack ó Keeffe put through 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper but his shot flew past the post, super ball from Malachy Kelleher,ht.
Within a minute of the restart Carrig doubled their lead when Jack went on a solo run and smashed the ball into the bottom corner, 2-0.

Carrig were strutting around Ballyadam dictating the play and made it 3 on 50 minutes when Sam Collins free kick was met on the run by the head of Ryan Collins who buried it into the net 3-0. Opposition pulled 1 back with a rocket from 30 yards 3-1.

Malachy made it 4 for Carrig on 60 minutes when he dropped the shoulder and eased past the defender and slotted the ball into the corner of the net, lovely finish.

Jack scored his 2nd when he received the ball on the left from Pranav, Jack beat two defenders and finished near post, terrific goal 5-1.

Another worldly from the opposition made it 5-2,FT.

Superb performance from the 11 lads, they played some lovely football at times today.

Team performance 👏👏
