Carrigtwohill United - 2
Cathedral Celtic - 1

Report:
Carrigtwohill United Juniors bounced back from defeat last weekend to Midleton Prem in the Junior Super Cup as they were back in cup action again at Ballyadam Park as they welcomed Cathedral Celtic AUL 2 in the 2nd round of the FAI Junior Cup.
The home side had the better of the first half but couldn't convert their chances and it was scoreless at the break.
Second half and the Northside outfit came out strong and looked dangerous breaking forward, and from a free kick out on the left striker Michael Blake got a flick on the ball to give Celtic the lead on 63 minutes.

Carrigtwohill came right back at them and 10 minutes later Dan Kingston won a free kick in a central position about 25 yards out.
Pat Horgan placed the ball and then hammered it into the top left hand corner to draw level.
The visitors were reduced to ten men with 10 minutes to go and this gave Carrigtwohill the impetus to go and win it but Celtic stood firm with defenders clearing and their keeper dealing with everything that was thrown at him.

As the clock ticked towards extra time Carrigtwohill were awarded another free kick, this time about 35 yards out and left of the opponents goal.
Up stepped Horgan again to hit another beauty, this time the ball dipping low beyond the keepers reach and into the bottom left hand corner.
A super comeback and two stunning free kicks good enough to grace any game, best for Carrigtwohill were Michael Deasy, Alex Fitzgerald and Ronan Browne.........man of the match can only go to Pat Horgan, well done all.
Cup action again for the 3rd weekend in a row as we take on Midleton D3 next Friday night under lights in Knockgriffin in the John Hayes Trophy, all support welcome.
