A Sunday afternoon away game to neighbours Midelton proved very useful today to the girls. 

A 4-1 loss but the scoreline flattering Midelton with two of the four barely making it across crowded goal line. 

In goals Lucy’s pin point kick outs proved extremely useful especially starting the play for our second half goal and she always made some energetic diving saves in both halves. 

 

Defence was worked very well by Ava W and Ava D on the left and right who both made strong clearances playing out to the wings on numerous occasions, along with Maci and Isabelle who both were in the thick of the action coping very well with Midelton onslaughts.

Going forward Oliva B, Olive C & Evelyn rotated between wings and striker which proved very useful in keeping the Midelton defence on the their toes which was also helped out in the centre of the park by Liliana who tirelessly chased down balls and Grace who was able to work effectively in both centre midfield and the defence line when needed. 

 

Midfield lines were bolstered by Amelia, Jessica & Aoibhinn who slotted in for good spells between them driving forward. 

 

Our goal coming halfway through the second half had been threatening for a while with two close calls in the few minutes previous but the girls got their reward when a great kickout from Lucy was hunted down by Evelyn who then played a pinpoint pass for Olivia C who calmly slotted the ball past the Midelton keeper. 

Great overall effort the girls today!
