Carrigtwohill Over 35s laboured to beat a defiant Tramore Athletic side to reach the Shield finals. For the greater part of second half, Carrigtwohill led 1:0 courtesy of a good finish from Nath Gumbo when he side step defenders to round off the keeper after some good work (assist) from Brendan Horgan. 

Unfortunately a Free kick conceded right at the death resulted to a corner kick from which we conceded an own goal with the ref holding a final whistle to his mouth. 

 

Penalties came and Peter O'Brien was the hero when he first scored his own penalty take before saving a crucial fifth penalty for Tramore. The lads now look forward to Redeem themselves against a high flying Corinthians side which is beating most teams by 5 goals or more in every game
