Carrigtwohill United - 0
Mallow Utd - 5

Report:
On a wet and windy Saturday morning in Ballyadam, Carrigtwohill welcomed Mallow Utd, Carrigtwohill without 9 players due to Féile were absolutely outstanding.

A special thank you goes out to all the u14 players who stepped up to the mark today so we could fulfil the fixture as we did not want to give a walkover.

Carrigtwohill played with 10 players all game, not 11, no subs and in stormy conditions.

In a very competitive 1st half the lads created some lovely chances with Jack ó Keeffe up top on his own running his socks off, Jack almost opened the scoring on 20 minutes when he took on the 2 centre backs and shot with his left boot across the keeper who made a fabulous save.

On 32 minutes a snap shot from Pranav was well saved by the keeper.

In injury time what looked like a blatant foul on a Carrigtwohill player was not awarded and the opposition broke and somehow fumbled the ball into the net, totally against the run of play, 0-1,ht.

The opposition would score 4 in the 2nd half, two coming in the last two minutes but it was not a fair reflection of the game.

The 10 players were heroic all game, special mention again for all the u14 players who stood up to the mark today.

Lot of fixtures cancelled due to Féile clashing with the soccer, people need to sit down and talk, sort this nonsense out about clashes with different sports, it's the kids who lose out, leave them play as many sports as they can, shameful making kids choose at this age.
