The recent downpours made Carrigtwohill’s pitch unplayable but Midleton kindly offered to hold the match on their all-weather pitch.  

 

It was a great to see the girls out on the pitch and even better to see four of the under 11s, Skyler, Katie, Shakthi and Jes making their debuts with the u12s and based on their performances there's no doubt they'll get plenty of opportunities to play again in the future.  

 

Carrigtwohill were unlucky to concede two goals which drifted high in the wind and ended up going in.  Ava made many good clearances and Shakthi was very impressive both in her tackling and ball distribution.  Skyler fought well and had a few shots which troubled the Midleton keeper.  Lilianna and Evelyn pressed forward in the hope that Carrigtwohill could score.  In the second half Katie intercepted a ball and came forward with confidence and after some neat play, Olivia finished the move off with a well taken goal. Jes had a fantastic game in a number of different positions and showed her neat control and skills in them all. 

 

Biggest cheer of the day came for Evelyn with a fine rendition of Happy Birthday followed by birthday cake in the dressing room after the game.
