Carrigtwohill welcomed Premier Champions in waiting and undefeated all season Ringmahon to Ballyadam on a sunny windy evening.
If a team ever showed where character, attitude, workrate and effort can take you then these boys showed it against the best team in Cork at this age group.
The game started at 100 mph with both teams throwing themselves into every tackle all over the pitch, as the half progressed, defences were on top, snuffing out every attack, best of the chances falling to Jack ó Keeffe who shot just over the bar on 30 minutes.
Just before half time the opposition were awarded a penalty, which they scored 0-1ht.
Carrigtwohill absolutely dominated the second half, playing sublime football and camping in the oppositions half.
Three minutes after the restart Sam Collins flung in an in-swinger of a corner and Ryan Moore timed his run to perfection and glanced his header into the far corner of the net, 1-1,game on.
Carrigtwohill were pressing all over the pitch with Tristan Ó Donovan, Aaron Sheehan and Charlie Cronin in the oppositions faces at every chance they got.
Jack and Ryan nearly doubled our lead on separate occasions but the opposition goalkeeper made two great saves.
On 55 minutes Carrigtwohill won another corner after excellent work down the right from Charlie and Fionn Barry, an out swinging corner this time from Sam was met by the towering leap of Alex Kadula, who smashed it through the keepers arms from 8 yards out ,thoroughly deserved.
Carrigtwohill continued to dominate their opponents in every aspect of the game, work rate, effort, running, attitude, creativity but could not find a 3rd goal, the game ended with a flurry of tackles but overall it was played in good spirits, 2-1 FT.
Carrigtwohill showed tonight that no matter the opposition, if you have the right attitude, work rate and fight for each and every one of your teammates anything is possible.
