The girls headed to Ballinhassig last Sunday morning in what was really strange weather conditions – no wind, no rain and no cold. It took the girls some time to adjust their game to this environment 

 

The teams know each other quite well having played often over recent years and every game being really tight. Unfortunately, it was the home side who took the points on this occasion and it was certainly a case of what might have been.

 

Ballinhassig started strongly and their striker beat the offside trap to score 1v1 on our keeper. As the first half wore on Carrigtwohill started to impose their game and they dominated the second half. However, they just couldn’t find the killer touch

 

It was a superb team performance with Robyn starring in defence and EmmaQ and Sadie dangerous in attack. 

 

Despite some unlucky results recently, this is a highly competitive division and with 4 games to play there is just 2 points between 5 teams so loads to play for yet !
