Carrigtwohill travelled to Coachford for their 7th league fixture of the season knowing any result would keep them firmly in the hunt for promotion 

 

Playing against a very solid and strong Coachford side , it was a fairly even 1st half , Carrigtwohill limited to a few half chances from Scott and on another day maybe Josh could have put away his few chances .

Carrigtwohill we're solid from the off , Krystian playing a solid  whole game at centre back in absence of Ryan and was excellently flanked by Dylan and Kuba.

Coachford also limited to half chances which Julian dealt with , either coming off his line to clear and also a great close range shot. 

Carrigtwohill we're getting some great results on the wings, especially Ciaran on the right side and Liam on the left , both leaving their men for dead at times and putting in crosses.

Midfield of Ollie and Tom P worked hard and rotated with Rian and Tom O who started  to supply  alonzo, scott and Josh more.

Was not long into the second half when the deadlock was broken, from our point of view we should have cleared our lines sooner and gave the ball back to Coachford who punished us with a fine finish 

It took us a while to rally again,  but once we got momentum we started to be on top , again Josh with a few half chances,  Scott with a few and nearly another sublime free kick which came back of the crossbar .

 

Eventually the period of pressure paid off , when Alonzo found Josh who turned his man and a fine finish to make it 1-1.

Not soon after their keeper cleared which fell to Rian , and with the keeper well off his line Rian shot from way out but crept wide .

Carrigtwohill continued to press  hard , but it was a day when our final ball or  a simple pass was just letting us down. 

Carrigtwohill could have knicked it at the end , Ciaran with a great run down the right which eventually resulted  in a corner. Scott whipped in a great ball and a slight , cheeky back flick from Liam nearly found the bottom corner .

At that the whistle went for a well-earned point.

 

MOTM:

Some excellent performances notably  Krystian and Dylan very solid at the back 

After working hard for last 3 weeks on drills for crossing , making runs, attacking the ball etc the MOTM is Ciarán O Connell who worked hard for whole game , making excellent runs With and without the ball , and defensively tracking back
