Carrigtwohill United - 2
Blarney United J1 - 1

Report:
A stunning free kick from Antoin Hervas Barry and a superb extra time winner from Ronan Browne saw Carrigtwohill United Juniors come from behind to shock Blarney United and progress out of Cork and into the 4th round of the FAI Junior Cup.
An open and entertaining cup tie with both sides creating plenty of good goalscoring opportunities saw Blarney take the lead on 18 minutes when striker Ronan O Keeffe finished low into the corner beyond Carrigtwohill keeper Cillian Murphy.
The hosts lead was short lived as Barry arrowed a left footed free kick into the top corner from 25 yards just ten minutes later.
The visitors matched and bettered Blarney in every department throughout the game and could have settled it in 90 minutes but the sides were level and extra time was required.
Five minutes into the 1st period Carrigtwohill broke forward and Paul Browne played a defence splitting pass to his brother Ronan who finished with aplomb to nudge the visitors ahead.
Blarney threw everything at Carrigtwohill in the final stages but to a man the visitors were immense, best of which were Cillian Murphy, Alex Fitz & Ronan Browne.
Match of the match goes to captain fantastic Michael Deasy who was a tower at the back.
Thanks to referee Albert Vlastimir and Blarney United for a tough but sporting game and it was nice to be complimented by the Blarney coaches and players at full time.
Back to league action next week as we welcome Passage on Wednesday evening and Douglas Hall Saturday afternoon both at Ballyadam.

Carrigtwohill Scorers: Antoin Hervas Barry & Ronan Browne
Player of the Match: Michael Deasy
