After the recent cup fixtures it was back to the league with a home game against Blarney. Carrig started the game strongly and went a goal up after 2 mins when Robert finished well after a good team move. Carrig continued to dominate possession with Max, Rian and Ajus getting on the ball a lot. Adam was getting great joy down the right and linking well with Shaun. Blarney battled hard and had some chances on the break but Will, Jack and Tommy defended well. It was 1-0 at the break.

 

Carrig went up a gear in the 2nd half and Robert got his 2nd after 5min when he bravely beat the keeper to the ball to finish. He then set up Adrian for the 3rd and scored the 4th and 5th himself in similar style by taking it around the keeper. Oran and Albert continued to help Carrig dominate midfield and create chances. Adrian got his 2nd and Carrig's 6th by finishing well from a good passing move. Blarney did threaten late on but Ruadhan saved well to keep a clean sheet. The highlight of the game was the return of Conor after a long injury layoff.
