Carrigtwohill United - 2
Tramore athletic - 1

Report:
Sunday morning saw Tramore Athletic travel to Ballyadam for what was a massive top-of-the-table clash and a must-win game for Carrigtwohill  as Tramore had a couple of games in hand.
We started the game outstandingly well, dominating the opening 20 minutes and creating bucketloads of chances. The breakthrough finally came when JP latched onto a breaking ball and buried it to give us a fully deserved lead.
For the next 15 to 20 minutes, Tramore came back strongly and put us under pressure. We defended well and looked comfortable, but unfortunately conceded a scrappy goal to make it 1-1.
About five minutes before half-time, Fionn Morrissey and Ryan Mathew linked up brilliantly in a great move. Mossie whipped in a dangerous cross, and JP met it with a superb volley into the bottom corner — a fantastic finish and no more than we deserved as we went into the break 2-1 up.
We knew Tramore would come out strong in the second half. Sitting top of the table, a win for them would have gone a long way toward securing the league.

What followed was a performance full of heart, determination and sheer grit. We defended as a unit, putting bodies on the line for one another and showing exactly what it means to play as a team. We were also very unlucky not to extend our lead on counter attacking

The game finished 2-1, and every single player was outstanding.
At the back, Oisín McCarthy, Ryan Barry, Callan O’Keefe and Eoghan Rall were immense. Across midfield and attack, Fionn Morrissey , Odhran Collins, Zach Flynn , Ryan Mathew, Jack Coneelly, Paul Kelliher, Eoin Lombard, JP Geurin, Sam Dolan all showed what can be achieved through teamwork and commitment.
A special mention has to go to Luke Brennan in goal who was immense in the closing stages and pulled off a world-class save in the final five minutes to preserve the win.

A fantastic result that puts us exactly where we want to be and sets us up nicely for the remainder of season
