Carrigtwohill were back in league action 41 hours after walking off the pitch at 9.15 on Thursday night in the quarter finals of the cup.
Player welfare should be a priority especially at this age, playing games so close together is certainly not putting player welfare first especially when Carrigtwohill lost two players today to muscle injuries after 15 and 18 minutes respectively.
Carrigtwohill, again, played with heart and fight in very windy conditions which made it very difficult to play football, Carrig dug in and came away with the 3 points.
All goals coming in the 2nd half.
Luke ó Connor picking the ball up on the halfway line on 50 minutes passed not 1,not 2 but 3 defenders and reached the opposition box and with a flick of the boot, played Mal Kelleher in and Mal tapped into the empty net, what a run by Luke.
The opposition scored totally against the run of play on 60 minutes, 1-1.
On 65 minutes Mal was brought down in the box and Charlie Cronin made no mistake from the spot, 1-2,ft.
Injuries, unfortunately have left a sour taste after what was a good win.
