Carrigtwohill came away with the 3 points at home to Macroom to keep up the chase on the leaders. Carrigtwohill dominated the game from the start with Ajus and Max controlling midfield and got their reward after 20min when Rob put the Macroom keeper under pressure and finished well when he spilled it. The 2nd came just before half time from a lovely passing move down the left involving Tommy, Max, Albert and Adrian, who laid it off to Oran to play a wonderful through ball to Shaun who finished well. 2-0 to Carrig at the break.

 

Macroom came into the game more in the 2nd half with the wind at their backs but Ruadhan in goals and the defenders Adam, Jack, Tommy as well as John and Oisin defending well. The 3rd goal came when Rian played a lovely through ball to Adrian who ran clear and finished well. It was almost a carbon copy shortly afterwards but the Macroom keeper saved well on that occasion.
